Learn with Pods / Schools & communities

Growing curiosity.
Caring for life.

A small pod can open a big conversation about seeds, soil, and the living world. Explore the process, ask questions, and discover what changes when we pay attention to nature.

01 / From curiosity to care

A little pod.
A lot to discover.

Follow the ideas in the film. Each stage offers something to notice, make, measure, or discuss.

Look closer. Every small beginning has a story.
  1. Explore the place.

Start with what lives here. Look at plants, insects, soil, light, and moisture. Native species are selected around the site and its habitat goals.

    Ask together

What do you notice before anything is planted?

  2. Meet the materials.

The film brings seeds and nutrient-rich biomass together in a biodegradable pod. Look closely at the textures and how the materials form a pod.

    Ask together

What can you see, count, compare, or weigh?

  3. Observe what changes.

Follow a planting over time. Draw or photograph the same spot, note the conditions, and compare your observations as new growth appears.

    Ask together

What changed? What stayed the same?

  4. Keep caring.

Return to the habitat, notice its visitors, and share what you learn. Planning and ongoing care should fit the site and the native species selected.

    Ask together

What would you like to investigate next?

02 / Try it together

Turn a question
into a discovery.

A few starting points for a classroom discussion, a community garden visit, or a shared field journal. Open a prompt and make it your own.

01 / LOOK CLOSELYWhat lives here?

Choose a small observation area. Sketch the plants and note any insects or other visitors you see.

Talk about it: What did someone else notice that you missed?

02 / COMPAREWhat is different?

Look at two pods or two plants. Compare their size, shape, and texture. Describe what you can observe before guessing why they differ.

Talk about it: How could you record the differences?

03 / RETURNWhat has changed?

Visit the same spot again. Record the date, weather, and a drawing or photograph from the same viewpoint.

Talk about it: What new questions do your observations raise?

03 / Start a conversation
